'PLAY ON' EXHIBITION
'PLAY ON' EXHIBITION
During my internship role in the graphic design and marketing teams in the 'Play On Exhibition', I developed print media designs as well as promotional digital content for the exhibition and sponsors. The event was hosted by the University of Canberra to honour the female football culture in the ACT, "From grassroots to glory".
The sponsorship marketing materials I developed for the event were displayed as static posts across various social media platforms, including Instagram & Facebook. The process of designing these involved receiving the logos of each sponsor, & expanding them to vectors when raw file types weren’t provided. Also collecting a series of brush stroke textures to use consistently as backgrounds in each post, to maintain strong branding and movement within the imagery. Then a consistent header format displaying the event logo and sponsor name was developed to place on each post. The logos of each company was strategically portrayed on each post depending on their involvement in the event, for example Capital Football was a major sponsor, therefore, needed the logo displayed in a larger format than others. Supporting local photographers provided the high quality imagery on each post, which I gathered and edited, and in most cases deep etched and provided drop shadows to capture the magic of the raw moment of each sporting individual.

Another aspect of my role in the 'Play On' exhibition involved developing print media including, large posters, banners, interactive flip panels and key chains. The images below are some of the posters I developed for the 'Power Plays' section of the event, honouring the legacy of many women in the soccer industry. I played a major role in the layout templates of the posters across the event and adapted each poster to suit the formats while maintaining movement and excitement with imagery, headings and brush stroke textures.
